Completed Projects
Parent Links
The Parent Links Project aims to do just as it title suggests - link parents, community members and services and ultimately young people, to address youth drug issues with a focus on alcohol.
With funding from the NSW Government the project aims to train parents of young people 12-17 years of age across Macarthur to work with, and educate other parents about drug and alcohol issues as well as where to get help, support and information in their community.
The project aims to build on existing parental networks, eg: through junior sports clubs, churches, performing arts, which would increase the likelihood of recruitment of parents as Parent Peer Educators and ensure sustainable and repeatable outcomes.
