The Youth Advisory Group is for young people 15 - 25 years of age, living in the Macarthur and Wingecarribee regions. The Youth Advisory Group will determine and prioritise issues of concern in their Local Government Area, develop and implement solutions to these issues as well as act in a consultative capacity to Youth Solutions by providing input on young peoples' issues and perspectives in our community.
Youth Solutions and the Campbelltown Catholic Club have worked in partnership to raise awareness of safer celebrations among young people 18 - 25 years of age, their parents/carers and the wider community of Macarthur
To follow the success of Safer Summer, a new project has been launched.Who Carries The Responsibility is a social marketing campaign with a focus on Alcohol, Young People and Safer Celebrations that will run from November 2011 until January 2012.
This campaign will promote safer celebrations messages to young people their parents/carers and the wider community of Macarthur through promotional materials and supporting resources as well as an online pledge campaign.
Funded by the IMB Community Foundation, the Youth Participation Project involves participation in a number of youth events to held over a 12 month period. Involvement will enable the Youth Solutions' Youth Advisory Group (YAG), to survey young people across Macarthur about alcohol and other drugs issues that concern them.
Midnight Basketball is an initiative between Campbelltown City Council, Sector Connect, Uniting Care Burnside, YMCA, Macquarie Fields Police, Youth Off The Streets, Communities Sport and Recreation, Claymore Youth Centre and Youth Solutions.
YouChoose has been funded by the NSW Cancer Council. This project tackles the revision of the Youth Smoking Cessation resource previously developed by Youth Solutions. The new resource will include up to date information which will assist young people 12 - 24 years of age to quit smoking.
